Ups and Downs.
There are days when you
wake up after crying into sleep whole night, and you don’t want to leave your
bed, but the life moves on so you also need to run along with it. The sense of
motivation becomes zero and your mind feels numb. Even the things which used to
make you happy seem boring at that time. You feel to keep your words inside you,
and you just gaze what is going in your surround while thinking of something
else. Something more vulnerable has already happened and you have no one to
share it with. So you cry from inside the whole day and tears find a way out
when you are alone.
My Father once told me a
story when I was nine. I was upset about something at that time, which I don’t
recall now. So my Father came to me and told me a story, I love his stories. So
the story was very short, and this is what the story was –
He said, “Once upon a
time, in a city park there was an old man, who used to come and sit in the park
every evening. One evening he saw two men sitting on two separate benches, one
was very happy and looked prosperous, the other looked sad and depressed. After
observing both the men for a while, the old man got to know that, the happy man
was happy because he had just achieved something in his career and the sad man
was upset because of losing someone. So he walked to the sad man and said
something in his ear, and then he said the same to the other and came back to
his bench. Now the sad man started smiling a bit and his soreness disappeared
gradually, and the other man became tense and his grin became smaller.” I asked
my father eagerly “What did the old man say to those men?”
My father smiled and
asked me the same. But I couldn’t guess at all. Later he told me, that the old
man said – “This time will pass soon.”
Later he concluded that,
“You are just nine, you have a long journey to cover and there will be many
disappointments in the future, but remember that time will pass soon. So, never be
too sad about something neither too happy for something, live in the present
and keep your future planned, you never know what will happen tomorrow.”
